The Best Life Diet

How many diet plans have you tried? Does, at least, one of them work for you? Why are you resorting to food when stress comes your way? The answer to these questions is very much the mantra of a specific diet.

The diet I am referring to is the Best Life diet. Created by an exercise physiologist and personal trainer, Bob Greene, the best life diet is focused on the reasons why you were getting that much weight.

Bob Greene is no small-fry at all. In fact, Bob Greene is the personal trainer of Oprah Winfrey. Greene is so well-versed with the topic of fitness and health that he is the one who made Oprah lose a whopping 80 pounds of weight.

Greene has a lot of books that tackle about health and fitness, but one of his most sold books is his Best Life diet book.

If you want to try the Best Life diet, here are some important information you need to be aware of:

  1. 3 Phases. The Best Life diet is centered on 3 phases: the “Baby Steps”, “Get Moving” and “Your Best Life” phase.
  2. Baby Steps” phase. This is the first phase and this phase is not really centered on weight-loss yet. This is the phase where you start eating healthy foods, slowly but surely. It is focused more on changing your meal plans as well as the way you eat, such as not eating foods 2 hours before bedtime, eating the right kinds of foods, just to name a few.
  3. Get Moving” phase. This phase is where you will start seeing results. You will still follow what you have established on Phase 1, only difference is that you will start to introduce exercising in your routine. It is called, “Get Moving” phase for a reason, and that is to have more physical activities squeezed in your daily routine. To make an easy transition, start walking at least 5 minutes a day. Then the next day, increase another 5 minutes until you reach at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. Do this until you reach your target weight.
  4. Your Best Life” phase. This is more of a maintenance phase and it expounds on what progress you have made by doing the first 2 phases. Basically, you still do what you did on phase 1 and 2. You also have to severely reduce, or even eliminate, unhealthy foods in your diet. Also, incorporate more wholesome, unprocessed foods as well, and you will be on your way to wellness.

The Best Life diet is not your ordinary diet; it is a way of life. That is how Bob Greene would have you believe.

As to the degree of difficulty, the Best Life diet is really doable and it can be done by people of all shapes and sizes. The Best Life diet is actually forgiving as it is a way of life, and not your ordinary diet where you have to lose x number of pounds in a given month.
